World Cup fever is still going strong! But as we come to the close of this momentous event that has captured the hearts of viewers worldwide, Contract Testing decided to find out what Canadian consumers have been feasting on while they watch the games at pubs across the country.
With all their many varieties from mild BBQ to honey garlic, it’s no surprise that Chicken Wings took the top spot on our survey with more than 91 per cent of Canadians giving them a big “thumbs up”! Rounding out the top five favourite pub foods were Nachos (90 per cent), Pizza (82 per cent), Burger & Fries (81 per cent), Chicken Fingers (77 per cent) and Onion Rings (75 per cent).
Least favourite pub menu items included Mussels (22 per cent), Curry (31 per cent), Stew and Pot Pies (Chicken, Shepherd) (34 per cent) and Mac & Cheese (40 per cent).
